Garbage is waste generated in the use, preparation, and cooking of meat, fish, fowl, fruit, vegetables or other edible matter which is subject to decomposition, decay or putrefaction. Wrap or bag your household garbage and place in your City-issued container for removal.
Vegetation consists of leaves, grass clippings, small shrubbery or bush cuttings, trees, branches, palm fronds, limbs, and trunks. Vegetation cannot exceed 4 inches in diameter, or 5 feet in length. Vegetation should either be unbundled or bagged; NOT in cans.
Recycling bins are designated blue for glass, plastic, steel and aluminum containers, and yellow for paper products and flattened cardboard 2' x 2' or smaller. Guidelines and locations to obtain recycling bins are enclosed.
Bulk items are picked up once a week for single family curbside collection areas. Bulk items include furniture, refrigerators, washers, dryers, bicycles, etc. Bulk items should be kept separate from your vegetation pile.
